BELTON, S.C. (WSPA)— A woman was sent to the hospital after an attempted murder suicide incident at a home in Anderson County.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday at 217 Oak Drive in Belton, police say.
Belton Police Chief Tommy Clamp says the woman’s injuries are serious and she is undergoing surgery.
The woman’s boyfriend was found dead at the scene, Clamp says.
The chief thinks this was a domestic incident and there isn’t a danger to the public.
Officers arrived at the home where a resident told them that his daughter had been shot. Inside the home, Clamp says officers found a man and woman locked inside a bedroom.
Jean Cesar, 47, was found dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound and the 39-year-old victim had been shot several times, according to police.
