SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Several deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office have volunteered to help Florence County in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.
Lt. Kevin Bobo says that 7 officers will be leaving their homes and families Monday night to assist the the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
The owners of Camping World in Spartanburg have donated 2 recreational vehicles for the deputies to live in while they are in Florence, so that any available rooms can remain vacant for Florence County residents.
The 7 deputies plan to help out in Florence County for the next 5 days.
