School bus struck during hit-and-run in Greenwood Co.

GREENWOOD, SC (WSPA) – One student was taken to the hospital after a school bus in Greenwood County was struck in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday evening.

The bus carrying 13 children was headed north on Kneece Road when a car pulled out of a driveway and hit the right rear of the bus shortly before 5pm, according to Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the driver of the dark colored car left the scene and traveled towards Reedy Creek Road.

The student was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call South Carolina Highway Patrol at 864-241-1000.
