WestGate Mall to be closed on Thanksgiving

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – The CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. owner of WestGate Mall announced Wednesday that the shopping center would be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

They said it will open at 6:00 a.m. on Black Friday.

“We want to bring back the excitement of Black Friday shopping as the true start of the holiday shopping season and allow our employees, retailers, and shoppers to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families,” said Stephen Lebovitz, President and CEO of CBL & Associates Properties, Inc.

Department stores, movie theaters, and retailers with exterior mall entrances will have the option to open on Thursday.

However, access to the mall’s common areas will be restricted until 6:00 a.m. on Friday.
