GREENWOOD, SC (WSPA) – A man has turned himself in after being released from the Greenwood Detention Center by mistake.
It was livestreamed on Facebook Live.
Timothy Ledavis Williams was released after he received a nine-year prison sentence on drug and weapons charges.
Williams pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon during a violent crime, manufacturing/distribution of cocaine base and possession of less than 28 grams of marijuana, according to online court records.
The sheriff’s office says staff misread his sentencing sheet and he was released after returning from court.
