PASCO COUNTY, Fla (WFLA) — Deputies with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office responded to an unusual call on Thursday when a resident called 911 to report he found a man sleeping in his roommate’s bed, and groceries and deodorant were missing from his home.
Deputies said the Zephyrhills resident found Steven Allen Jeffcott asleep in a bed.
Deputies said Jeffcott admitted to entering the home through an unlocked sliding glass door, ate the victim’s bologna and passed out in the bed.
The resident said $100 to $150 worth of groceries and $8 to $10 worth of deodorant was missing from the home.
Jeffcott was arrested on a charge of burglary with petit theft. Deputies said after searching Jeffcott’s name in the system, they added additional charges of armed burglary and grand theft, for theft of lawn equipment and guns from a previous incident.
