MARION, N,C, (WSPA) – One man has been arrested after assaulting another man with a knife, according to the Marion Police Department.
The incident happened at the Dollar General on East Court Street at about 9:21 a.m.
Jonathan Derick Mace has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, police say.
They say he has also been charged with Resist Obstruct Delay after he tried to flee from officers.
Mace is being held at the McDowell County Jail under a $47,500 secured bond.
The victim was taken to Mission Hospital by EMS. He has been treated and released.
