Student accused of pushing teacher, child porn found, says report

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – A student at West Greenville School is accused of pushing past a teacher and leaving school without permission, according to Greenville County Schools spokesperson Beth Brotherton.

The teacher followed the student until police arrived, and declined to press charges against the student, Brotherton says.

While at West Greenville, officers found that the student’s phone contained inappropriate images.

Police say there is a current investigation for distribution of child pornography and they are in the process of having all phones, of the students involved, searched.

They say the school policy was that all students’ phones be confiscated during school hours and returned at the end of the day.

West Greenville is a school for at-risk middle and high school students.  It provides the students with mental health and social services.
