OCONEE COUNTY, SC (WSPA)— The trial is set to begin Monday for a Seneca man charge with attempting to kill his wife by burning, according to our coverage partners at the Independent Mail.
Jacob Daniel Drotning is charged with attempted murder, arson and domestic violence in Oconee County.
The assault in May of 2014 left his wife with third-degree burns over 70% of her body.
She spent nearly 18 months in a burn center.
Oconee County Sheriff’s investigators were called to the couple’s home after reports that their house was on fire with a woman inside.
