11-year-old assaulted principal, bus driver say Union Co. deputies

UNION COUNTY, SC (WSPA)— An 11-year-old was arrested after deputies say he assaulted school officials, Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to Buffalo Elementary School on Main Street in Buffalo after witnesses said the child assaulted a bus driver and the principal, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

The child was accused of causing problems and screaming, so deputies placed the child in handcuffs for his safety and the safety of others, reports say.

The child was taken to the Union County Sheriff’s Office and then to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.
