GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – On October 22, Greenville Police responded to TD Bank on Wade Hampton Blvd. for a bank robbery.
They say their quick response and the information provided by the witnesses helped apprehend the suspect.
Rodney Nathaniel Torain is charged with Robbery / Entering bank, depository or building and loan association with intent to steal.
Police say he passed the teller a note saying he had a gun and to give him $2,500.
The clerk handed the suspect $500 and a red-colored dye pack, according to the warrant.
Police say they caught Torain a short time later with remnants of red dye on his hands and clothing.
They said he also had a toy gun wrapped up in his hoodie.
He was arrested without incident.
Deputies says the break-in happened on Morgan Creek Drive in the Earles Grove Community near Fair Play on June 22.
A man is under arrest after McDowell Co. Deputies say he had a stolen motorcycle, guns, meth and marijuana.
The robbery happened around 9:36 p.m. Tuesday at the Kangaroo at 2050 S. Pine St., according to a police report.
A woman has been arrested after threatening to blow up a Quik Trip gas station, according to an incident report.
Police say one person has been shot in Anderson, Tuesday night.
