SPARTANBURG (WSPA) – A woman wanted for a murder in Tennessee was arrested early Monday morning in Spartanburg.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office deputies say Shannon Richardson was arrested around 2:45 a.m. Monday at a local hotel.
Richardson, 39, from Nashville was charged with criminal homicide according to a warrant from a court in Williamson County, Tennessee. Brentwood, Tennessee Police say Richardson stabbed and killed her boyfriend at a hotel there.
The body of Reuben Dunigan was found at that hotel in Brentwood on Saturday morning. The warrant adds that Richardson called her father on Sunday and he told detectives his daughter told him she stabbed Reuben in the hotel on Friday.
Hotel employees say Richardson was seen with Reuben the last time he was observed before he was found dead.
Richardson also faces a charge for being a fugitive from justice in Spartanburg County by sheriff’s deputies in the Upstate.
