ROANOKE, VA (WSPA)– Two people are dead and several others are injured after an active shooter situation in Roanoke, Tuesday morning.
Reports of the shooting came in around 6 a.m. at FreightCar America, on the 800 block of Campbell Ave., according to CBS-affiliate WDBJ7.
Roanoke police believes the shooter took his own life after shooting other people.
2-3 people were hurt and taken to the hospital. The shooter and another person are confirmed dead, police say.
The initial threat is over and authorities say they’re actively investigating this situation.
Police say the shooter was either an employee or an ex-employee; they aren’t sure yet.
