A former Spartanburg County Detention Officer is being sued by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office for violation of a settlement agreement.
Brian Blalock sued the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office for racial discrimination, claiming issues while he worked at the jail.
Blalock and the Sheriff’s Office settled that lawsuit in December of 2015 for $25,000. That settlement also included stipulations that the Sheriff’s Office was not at fault and that details would not be discussed.
On September 30th, Blalock took to facebook live and discussed his feelings on the upcoming Sheriff’s election and also details regarding the settlement.
Blalock was also quoted in a Spartanburg Herald article regarding the lawsuit.
