SALEM, SC (WSPA) – Two men are behind bars in connection with a shooting Tuesday morning on Clearcut Road.
Oconee County deputies say they arrested Jason Scott Alexander, 38, of Salem. He is charged with first-degree burglary and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
Justin David Crenshaw, 31, was apprehended around 6:37 p.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop, deputies say. Crenshaw is charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Investigators says there was a knock on the victim’s door around 4 a.m.
When the victim opened the door, Crenshaw and Alexander came in and chased the victim outside.
They say the victim was shot in the upper torso and hit with a blunt object. He was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
