Man fights K9 in Honea Path say Anderson Co. deputies

HONEA PATH, SC (WSPA) – A man is under arrest after fighting with a Anderson Co. K9 say deputies.

Deputies say they were called to a home on Reeves Rd. in Honea Path.

Jeffrey Case Haynes, is accused of causing more than $2000 in damage to the home’s front door and bathroom.

The warrants say Haynes was under the home and was told he was under arrest.

Deputies say he refuse to come out so they sent the K9 in.

Haynes grabbed the K9 around the throat and rolled on top of the dog and trying to disable it, according to the warrant.

He is charged with:

Malicious injury real property > $2000 < $10,000
Resisting Arrest
Animal / Cruelty to police dog or horse

He will also be charged with the following from Greenville County Sheriffs Office,
Possession of Stolen Property
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
