Inmates flood jail, knock security system out in Union Co., deputies say

UNION CO., S.C. (WSPA) – Two inmates knocked all of the sprinklers on and flooded one section of the Union County Jail, according to Sheriff David Taylor.

Sheriff Taylor says the inmates then knocked the security system out.

Officers were called in to help, and the situation was under control pretty quickly.

Other inmates are now cleaning up the mess, the sheriff says.
