Greenville Swamp Rabbits
Greenville, SC – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced this afternoon that tomorrow night’s Home Opener and Sunday afternoon’s Halloween-themed game against the Wichita Thunder will be rescheduled due to a mechanical malfunction at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
“Due to mechanical problems with the ice chiller, we are unable to maintain ice for the Swamp Rabbits’ games scheduled for this Friday and Sunday,” said Beth Paul, General Manager of Bon Secours Wellness Arena. “Repairs to the chiller have started, and we greatly appreciate the Swamp Rabbits’ organization and the ECHL’s understanding and patience during this unfortunate and unforeseen situation.”
Tickets purchased for the game may be redeemed for another game date between November 1st and December 28th. The Swamp Rabbits will host 14 games at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in that time frame. For further information with regard to use or exchange of tickets for Friday or Sunday’s games, please contact Stacey Wise at (864) 250-4868 or via email at email@example.com.
“It is disappointing to have to postpone our Opening Weekend games and festivities, but these circumstances were unforeseeable and out of our control,” said Swamp Rabbits President, Chris Lewis. “We know how excited our players and fans were to begin the home ice portion of our schedule and we look forward to continuing to build that excitement as we head toward our first Friday night game on November 4th.”
On Friday, November 4th at 7 p.m. the Swamp Rabbits invite fans to take part in all the festivities slated for Opening Night. Special $10 tickets will be available and the first 1,000 fans in the building will receive a Swamp Rabbits rally towel. Join us for a pre-game Fan Fest on the Clemson Plaza beginning at 5:30 p.m. with inflatables, concessions, and live music.
“We are excited to welcome our fans back to the Well with a fun and exciting experience next Friday,” Lewis said. “We truly appreciate the support the community gives the organization and we look forward to a great season.”
Rescheduled dates for Friday night and Sunday afternoon’s games are being determined and will be announced at a later date. Season ticketholders will be able to use their opening weekend tickets at the rescheduled games later this season.
“We apologize to the Swamp Rabbits’ fan base, staff, and players and we are as disappointed as you are about these circumstances,” Paul continued. “We are looking forward to the rescheduled opening night festivities on Friday, November 4.”
