UPDATE: Tevin Jones has been located. Jones’ mother posted on her Facebook page that he was working.
GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — An Upstate mother is searching for her son after he disappeared more than two months ago.
Tevin Jones, 21, was reported missing Monday to Greenville police.
His mother, Carolyn Jones, last saw him on Aug. 28.
Jones’ mother told police she was concerned because they usually keep in touch on the telephone. According to an incident report, they are both homeless and were staying at separate shelters. Carolyn told police that Tevin was last seen at Miracle Hill Greenville Rescue Mission on West Washington Street.
Carolyn tells 7 News that she searched for her son at hotels and found a phone number at one hotel that she thinks he left behind. Jones called the number and asked a man and others who answered the phone about her son before it disconnected.
Tevin is described as 6 feet 1 one inch tall, weighing 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes with some facial hair and a scar on his right wrist. He was last seen with short dreadlocks and wearing a green and gray hoodie, blue jeans and work boots, the report states.
