GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Police say a man is in critical condition after he was shot in the torso near the corner of Railroad and Center Streets in Greenville.
According to police, officers responded to the corner of Scott and Bethel Streets just before 2:20 p.m. Tuesday and found the victim nearby.
The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries. He was in critical condition, according to a warrant.
DeLeon “Duck” Richardson, 49, of Greenville has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Police say witnesses told them that Richardson shot the victim before running into his home on Railroad Street and fleeing the scene in a vehicle, according to a warrant.
Richardson is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond with additional charges pending.
