INMAN, S.C. (WSPA) — An Upstate woman accused of firing a rifle towards a man and two deputies is facing charges.
Brandi Nichole Almond, 32, of Inman, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder. She’s also charged with pointing a firearm at a person and third-degree assault and battery.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at Almond’s home on Wednesday.
When they arrived on scene, officers saw a man standing in the yard and heard gunfire that sounded as though it was coming from inside the home, according to an incident report.
Deputies took cover and more officers arrived on scene.
One deputy called Almond on her cellphone and asked her to exit the home with her hands up, the report states.
She was taken into custody and deputies found after running a criminal history that she was prohibited from possessing a gun or ammunition, according to the report.
She’s also accused of busting a man’s lip with a cell phone.
