MONTREAT, N.C. (AP) – Evangelist Billy Graham will be 98 years old today, but his son says the family isn’t planning a big party.
The Rev. Franklin Graham told the Charlotte Observer, “It’s a party every Sunday when I go see him because he’s made it through another week.”
Three years ago, more than 800 people, including Donald and Melania Trump, helped Billy Graham celebrate his 95th birthday at the ministry’s facility in Asheville, North Carolina.
But the younger Graham told the Observer, “At 98, you count the days and weeks. I don’t think we’ll have any more big parties. Those days are over with.”
On election eve, Franklin Graham plans to host a prayer for the nation that will be webcast live on his Facebook page.
