Pedestrian ID’d, hit, killed on Hwy 14 in Laurens Co.

GRAY COURT, S.C. (WSPA) – One person is dead after being hit by a car on Highway 14, near Cook Street, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. Sunday.

He was walking in the roadway, heading east, when they were struck by a car that was also traveling east.

He’s identified as Christopher Douglas Eccard by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office. They say that Eccard died of blunt force trauma of the head and chest.
