GREER, S.C. (WSPA) — A firefighter is back home after he was treated for burns suffered in a house fire.
Greer Fire Chief Dorian Flowers said a firefighter was taken to the Augusta Burn Center after he was injured in the fire.
Crews responded just after midnight Monday to 10th Street in Greer.
The firefighter was hurt entering the home. Chief Flowers said he suffered burns to his ears and was taken to the JMS Burn Center in Augusta.
Deputy Fire Chief Joshua Holzheimer said the firefighter was treated and released within a couple hours of hospitalization and is back home in the Upstate recovering.
The house was significantly damaged in the fire, which remains under investigation.
