Mom charged after young boy tests positive for meth, deputies say

NEBO, N.C. (WSPA) — A mother has been charged after officers say her son was exposed to drugs.

Christina Irene Coursey, 22, of Nebo, has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.

Coursey’s 3-year-old son tested positive for methamphetamine, deputies say.

The sheriff’s office was referred the case by the McDowell County Department of Social Services.
