ABBEVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Seven students and another driver were taken to the hospital after a school bus crash in Abbeville County.
According to Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2006 Ford Explorer crashed into the back of a school bus on Highway 72 just after 3:30pm.
The students were taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, troopers say.
The driver of the Explorer was cited for driving Too Fast for Conditions and was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the bus was not injured.
It is not known how many people were on the bus at the time of the crash.
