(WSPA) — People come together every year to honor a woman killed in the Blue Ridge Savings Bank robbery for the Syl Syl Christmas Toy Drive. That’s happening this Sunday from 2 pm until 4 pm at the Clock restaurant on Poinsett Highway in Greer. It started in 2004 in memory of Sylvia Holtzclaw. They’ll collect new, unwrapped toys for kids in need this holiday.

There’s another chance to participate in a great cause on Sunday, with the Tigers for Babies 5K in Clemson. It benefits the March of Dimes. Registration is at 1 pm and the race starts at 2 pm. There will be free food, drink, live music and an auction. It’s followed by a tailgate party sponsored by the Esso Club.

Celebrate Fall at the Roper Mountain Science Center with their Fall Harvest Festival. That’s on Saturday from 9 am until 3 pm. Their living history farm will transport you back to the 1800’s with artisans, demonstrations and musicians. Parking is free. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for kids, and free for all children under three. Click here for more information.
