Man drowns at Lake Greenwood

LAKE GREENWOOD, SC (WSPA) – The state Department of Natural Resources confirms that one person has drowned at Lake Greenwood.

The report came in around 11 a.m. Nov. 11 in the Hidden Lakes area of Waterloo.

Dive teams searched the lake most of the afternoon before recovering a man’s body around 4 p.m.

Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols said the man has been identified as David Morton, 74, of Gray Court.
