SPARTANBURG CO., S.C. (WSPA) – A man has died after a single-car crash on New Cut Road, near Black Road, according to Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger.
He says 69-year-old Roy C. Rodgers died after injuries he received in the crash.
The crash happened at about 3:54 p.m. Saturday.
Rodgers was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery and died at 8:24 p.m.
According to SC Highway Patrol, the driver ran off the left side of the road, over-corrected a few times in the roadway and eventually ran off the left side into a tree.
