Coroner IDs man killed in Anderson Co. crash

ANDERSON CO., SC (WSPA) – A man was killed and three people hurt in a crash.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. Monday on Blackman Drive near Moorehead Drive.

Troopers said a 15-year-old Anderson teen hit the car on the right side.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown said Jason William Dobbins, 35, of Anderson died from head trauma suffered in the crash.

Dobbins and his wife were headed home, along with a juvenile, when they were struck by a teen driver, McCown said.

Their car rolled over several times after it was hit and Dobbins struck his head against the inside of the car, McCown said.

Authorities said Dobbins was not wearing a seat belt.

Troopers said a 45-year-old woman and a juvenile were hurt and transported to a hosptial. They were wearing seat belts.

The teen driver of the vehicle also was taken to a hospital with injuries.
