GREENVILLE (WSPA) – The City of Greenville has started measures in some of the busiest portions of Woodruff Road in advance of the busy holiday shopping season.

Starting Monday, left turn movements will be restricted between Woodruff Industrial Lane and the I-85 interchange. The plan also includes directing drivers by using electronic message boards especially in the area of Magnolia Park and The Shops at Greenridge from November 25-27.

SCDOT engineers report the less-traveled times on Woodruff Road are between 9:00 am and noon on weekdays and before 10:00 am on Saturday.

Weekday afternoons – especially after 4:00 pm – and after noon Saturday are the heaviest times for traffic in those areas.

Drivers are advised to consider alternate roads during those busy travel times including left turn movements will be restricted between Woodruff Industrial Lane and the I-85 interchange.
