GA bans fireworks for counties under drought

ATLANTA (WSPA) – GA Gov. Nathan Deal has signed an executive order banning the use of consumer fireworks in some counties because of the drought.

Deal says the state has experienced significant drought conditions over the last 6 months.

He says there have been numerous uncontrolled fires that seriously threaten people.

The ban is in effect in the following counties
