SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Two home invasion suspects are on the run after they shot a person on Vanderbit Road, according to police.
The home invasion and shooting happened around 11:30 pm Monday on Vanderbilt Road.
The man was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital.
A woman and their 2-year-old daughter were also home when police say two males entered the home and demanded money and shot the man in his left leg.
The woman said she was in bed when she heard the door being kicked in.
She said she saw two men enter her bedroom.
The two men asked the male victim to walk outside with them. Moments later, one of the suspects shot the victim in his upper left leg and the suspects fled the area with a sum of cash.
One suspect was described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing a tan and white coat, the other suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 2 inches, wearing all black, police say.
