ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – Police say they responded to a possible threat at Asheville High School just before Noon on Wednesday.
They say a student, James Javon Harris, 18, had texted another student that the school was in danger.
They say the school went into lockdown and police secured a perimeter.
The school resource office determined that Harris wasn’t on campus.
Police went to Harris’ home and found him there with his father.
He was taken into custody and the lockdown was lifted.
We don’t know if he has been charged.
