A family friend of Meagan McCraw Coxie says that the family is distraught after their daughter and her husband was found shot and buried on Todd Kohlhepp’s 95-acre property in Woodruff.
Michael Taylor says that Meagan was a tomboy as a child, full of life.
Meagan was arrested a few times for misdemeanors over the years and for Child Neglect in December of 2015.
Taylor says that Meagan was trying to turn her life around, and called her mother from jail saying that she had a job.
Meagan’s mother reported them missing just a few days later.
Taylor says Meagan told her mother that a real estate agent hired her to clean homes and hired her husband Johnny to clean his property, and that the agent would drive them to and from the jobs.
Meagan and Johnny Coxie’s graves were pointed out by name, by Todd Kohlhepp according to investigators.
The family of the Coxie’s wish that something could have been done sooner for their missing person case, but the Sheirff’s Office says there were no red flags about foul play in their disappearance.
The Coxie’s will have a memorial service on November 20th at Faith Renewed in Mauldin. They will receive friends from 4-5 and will have a service at 5pm.
