PICKENS COUNTY (WSPA) – A woman in Pickens County has been charged with murder after deputies say she stabbed her husband in front of their three young children.
Samantha Pardew-Lingwai, 28, is being held in the Pickens County Detention Center after sheriff’s deputies arrested her following the late night domestic disturbance on Pickens Drive.
Deputies say they were called to the home and found 33-year-old Matthew Mickelboro unconscious, but alive in the front yard of a nearby house.
Mickelboro was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he died.
Pickens County Sheriff’s Office investigators say Pardew-Lingwai stabbed her husband in front of their young children who are ages four, seven and eight.
We’re told the victim called his mother and tried to leave the home, but collapsed in a neighbors yard.
The sheriff’s office says he had a puncture wound to his chest. Deputies recovered a knife that they believe is the murder weapon.
Samantha Pardew-Lingwai will be charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The Department of Social Services has taken custody of the three young children.
