GREENWOOD, SC – An infant was abandoned at Self Regional Hospital on November 13, according to the Greenwood County Department of Social Services (DSS).
They say “Baby Doe” was born on Nov. 11. He’s described as a bi-racial boy weighing about 6 pounds and 15 ounces and 20 inches in length at birth.
The child falls under the jurisdiction for “Daniel’s Law” and is now in DSS custody.
A permanency planning hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9, 2017, at the Greenwood County Family Court. Anyone wishing to assert parental rights regarding the infant must do that at this hearing.
