Spartanburg Co. school to dismiss early due to power outage

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) — McCarthy Teszler students will be released early Monday due to a power outage at the school.

A spokeswoman for the school district said the school will close at 11:15 a.m.

She said a broken pole on Floyd Road is the cause of the power outage.

Duke Energy reports that 156 customers in the area are without power as of 10:10 a.m. The utility expects to restores power by 1 p.m.
