GREENVILLE CO., S.C. (WSPA) – One person is dead after a head-on crash on Farrs Bridge Road, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
The accident happened at about 6:50 p.m. Sunday.
The coroner says a man was traveling south on Farrs Bridge Road when he crossed the center line and struck a Dodge 1500 truck head-on.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner identified the man as James Patrick Hayes, 57, of Woodruff.
Hayes died of multi-body trauma.
The truck flipped after the crash, according to the coroner. The driver of the truck was able to remove his seat belt and get out of the truck.
The other driver, a 53-year-old man, was injured and taken to the hospital by EMS.
He was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to the coroner.
