Seneca man accused of setting house on fire

OCONEE Co., SC (WSPA) — A Seneca man is accused of starting a fire inside a home.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has charged Reginald Leon Holden, 36, with second-degree arson.

Holden was arrested on an outstanding warrant and booked in jail Monday morning. He remains in custody as of noon on a $30,000 surety bond.

A deputy responded to reports of a structure fire with possible entrapment at a home Nebo Church Road the morning of Nov. 25.  The deputy arrived to find a fire outside the house, and another fire burning inside the house.

After determining that no one was trapped inside the house, the deputy notified the fire department of his findings and began an investigation.

According to arrest warrants, the fire burned the belongings of three people.
