EPHRATA, Pa. (WHTM) – Police who arrested a wanted man in Lancaster County are giving credit for the capture to a cat.

Jonathan M. Steffy, 23, of Ephrata, was wanted on an outstanding warrant when officers found him in the backyard of a Duke Street home last week.

Ephrata police said the officers were searching for Steffy when one of them noticed a black cat crouched in a backyard and watching a shed.

The officer checked the shed and found Steffy, who was taken into custody without further incident.
