BLACKSBURG, SC (WSPA) – Deputies arrested four people after chase ended with a wreck in Cherokee County.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious vehicle that may have had stolen merchandise in it outside a gas station at Exit 96.
The car drove away when deputies tried to make contact. Deputies chased the car to Exit 106 on Interstate 85 where the suspects crashed. A sheriff’s deputy was struck during the crash.
7 News is told that no law enforcement officers were hurt. Three suspects were treated for minor injuries before they were arrested.
Deputies identified the suspects as:
- 28-year-old Phillip Stanley Davis, the driver, is charged with failure to stop for blue lights and driving under suspension.
- 30-year-old Bryant Deangelo Dixon is charged with possession of stolen merchandise and fugitive from justice (He is wanted for felony hit and run in Mecklenburg County, N.C.)
- 30-year-old Brandon Tryon Wideman is charged with possession of stolen merchandise
- 29-year-old Bryan Joshua Davis is charged with possession of stolen merchandise
All of the suspects are from Charlotte, North Carolina.
Blacksburg police also responded to the scene along with EMS.
