NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman hid out in a restroom of a south Nashville CVS in order to burglarize it, according to an arrest affidavit from Metro police.
Laurie A. Parrish, 44, reportedly hid inside the CVS at 4709 Nolensville Pike on Thursday night.
The store closed at 9 p.m. and Metro police were notified of an interior alarm at the store just after midnight.
When they arrived, they saw no signs of forced entry, but later found Parrish inside the store, hiding in a restroom.
She reportedly told officers that she had planned to hide until after the store closed, in order to steal merchandise and alcohol.
The affidavit states that she told police she had consumed four beers while hiding in the restroom.
Metro police wrote in the arrest affidavit that Parrish had set aside $281 worth of merchandise and alcohol.
Parrish was charged with burglary and theft of merchandise.
Her bond was set at $10,000, and she is due in court on Monday, December 12.
