(WISH) — Samsung is planning to disable the batteries of remaining Galaxy Note7 devices in January.
The company said a software update on Jan. 8 will prevent the devices from being able to hold a battery charge.
The devices were previously recalled in September due to exploding batteries.
The Department of Transportation then banned the device from flights in October.
