MADISON CO., N.C. (WSPA) – A Madison County firefighter has been arrested after setting fires and making false 911 calls, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
They say 20-year-old Lucas Benjamin Thomas confessed to setting multiple fires in the Hot Springs community as well as calling in numerous fake 911 calls.
Thomas is a member of the local fire department, but the sheriff’s office says his actions are in no way a reflection of the job the fire department does.
