SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A judge has denied bond for a man accused of killing another man seven months ago, whose remains are still missing.
Woodruff Police say Marcus Todd shot and killed Jermaine West on May 23rd.
West’s family was in the courtroom Friday morning when the judge denied bond for Todd, who was indicted on a murder charge.
West’s body still has not been found. His family is pleading for anyone who knows something, to come forward, including the suspect’s family.
“To the Todd family, we still ask them to help us, help us put an end to this so the cycle doesn’t continue with these boys,” said West’s father, Michael Thompson.
Police say they need the public’s help in locating West’s body.
“Mr. Todd took the body of Jermaine West from 233 Woodruff St. after shooting him multiple times. After disappearing with Mr. West, Mr. Todd turned himself in at the Spartanburg County Jail 24 hours later,” Chief Alan Bledsoe said in the statement earlier this month.
