COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – The Chapman High School football team won a state championship Saturday in Columbia.
The game took place in Williams-Brice stadium at USC.
The Panthers’ football team defeated Dillon High School, who was the defending four-time state champion.
The final score was 29-27.
This is Chapman’s first-ever 3A state championship title.
There was a parade at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in downtown Inman to welcome back and congratulate the new state champions.
