House fire injures two in Greenville Co.

Greenville Co., S.C. (WSPA) – Two people were injured and taken to the hospital after a house fire in Greenville County Friday night, according to our 7 News crew at the scene.

Neighbors that lived next to the home that caught fire say that they were able to help get the two people out of the home.

The Belmont Fire Department was the first department called to the scene on Jasper Rd. and they were assisted by Gantt Fire Department.

Belmont Fire Chief Anthony Segars says that there was heavy fire when they arrived at the scene. One of the victims is listed in critical condition. Chief Segars also says that there were a lot of pets in the home, some of which were able to escape.

There is no indication at this time of where the fire started.
