Florist shops busy with Valentine’s Day preparations

DUNCAN, S.C. (WSPA) — Upstate florist shops are slammed on Valentine’s Day.

Americans will spend more than $18 billion on Valentine’s Day, according to Fortune. That amount includes flowers, cards, candy and many other gifts.

Carolyn’s Florals and Baskets in Duncan showed us just how early preparations start for the big day.

Carolyn began her day early this morning – planning to be in the shop by 4 a.m. to prepare bouquets and get deliveries ready to go.

Those deliveries kick off at 8 a.m.

Carolyn says some people choose to order flowers online, but when you order from a local florist you can often make the gift more personal. She said it also allows you to cater your flower choice for your Valentine.
