GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Members of the Upstate law enforcement community were honored by the the Rotary Club of Greenville Tuesday.
Captain Tom Mcconnell with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office was named “Rotary Officer of the Year” for the County. Greenville County Police Detective Joey Gault received the same honor for the city.
“It’s just an honor to be in the company of a lot of men and women who have come before me in this,” said McConnell, who has been with GCSO for nearly 28 years.
Gault, an 11-year veteran of GCPD, said “To be recognized like this as Officer of the Year is something special. I’ll never forget it.”
The Rotary Club also honored Postal Inspector Michael Nicholson for his work investigating mail fraud, mail theft and drug cases.
